hello friend

Hello!

Yes, we have met previously. In fact, on many occasions. I was introduced to you a long time ago. I know, I know... I look exactly the same! I just cannot seem to change this rich chocolate brown tone that I take on when hydration is applied. It's a curse really. I am completely content, maybe just a tiny bit parched, soaking up the sun on most days. Monday's are my "grooming" days and I love those. The leaf blower blowing away the leaves and loose dust and the rake combing me back into place. All of this just in time for me to greet my best friend... AJ! Usually it's his mommy or daddy who greets me first. Often times they really are not there for me at all, come to think of it. They arrive to water the green flowery shrubs that jut out of my surface. But as they water, I magically appear and before long I hear the squeals of laughter and the patter of little feet running towards to me. My best friend has finally arrived and we are so happy to see each other that we play and play oblivious to what is usually happening around us. AJ brings his toys to share... his bucket, his trucks, his shovels to dig in the muck. His fingers and hands, his toes and feet covered in brown slime, my company is sure hard to beat! Time sprints by like a runner in a marathon and before we know it our play must come to an end. So it's a goodbye to my best friend till we play very soon, again and again.

AJ's First Photo Shoot

A very good friend of mine, Tiffany from Adeline and Grace Photography, gave Angelo and I the gift of a photography session with AJ when he was one month old. She was kind enough to provide a link, so those who did not get a chance to view the slideshow originally may still do so. And if you have already watched it, it is fun to watch it again now, because AJ has grown so much in the last few months and changed from these pictures. I actually started crying when I just watched it again, because it hit me that my newborn baby boy is growing up and has gone from newborn to infant to stage 2 baby. I really really miss those first few weeks and months. But I am looking forward to watching him continue to grow and become our little man. We hope you enjoy... and thanks again Tiffany, I will always cherish these images and never forget those special days thanks to you and your camera. You are the best! (the video may take a few moments or min. to load, then it will play)
