Spring has sprung! Yay for the warmer weather and bright sunny days!
AJ went with daddy a few weekends ago and spent the day with Nana in her garden. He helped to dig holes, plant flowers and of course water the dirt to make his favorite playtime friend, MUD! I think AJ loves to the garden simply because he knows eventually he will be covered from head to toe in brown earth slime. Squished between his toes and fingers and caked on his little legs and arms and smudged on his cheeks, he revels in it's complete messiness.
This past Friday, AJ met his Auntie Tiffy at the beach to do a little photography mini-session to update his third year photo's. Mommy took a few photo's herself because there is no better location to get cute adorable images of AJ than at the beach. It's always a new world of exploration for AJ with all the shells, rocks, water and sand. He can never get enough and mommy can never get enough pictures of him exploring and learning. The wonderment and excitement in his expressions as he finds something new or interesting is absolutely beautiful and I wish I could capture each and every one of them on camera. After some time, AJ may not find beach visits as new or exciting as he does now. Some of the amazement he feels when he see's a new seashell or steps into the murky water and seaweed wraps itself around his chunky ankles may become mundane and not special. But the photographs of these days will always make us smile and remember the shouts of laughter and joy in his eyes as he reaches down to pull at the seaweed away or lifting the seashell to show us his new treasure. Their is magic in these days and moments and I try to capture as many of them as I can with my little camera. And Auntie Tiffy captures them more beautifully and eloquently and makes them frame worthy, which we are eternally grateful for.
